One of my favourite new items in New Leaf, it has a myriad of possibilities, as well as the 'Clothing' and 'Custom' option. You can choose an exterior pattern and an interior pattern as follows:
Exterior Pattern:

Interior Pattern:
Clothing Pattern, Custom Pattern OR
Flower, Nautical, Round, Nature, Bird, Winter

N.B. An Animal told me that the actual Throne could be customised to silver with Silver Ore. This was no more than MISCHIEF on his part or sheer ignorance. Cyrus will not acknowledge the Silver Ore in this context, even if you bring three.
